Artist's Statement

I grew up in Los Angeles and got into photography at a fairly young age.  My father was really into photography as a hobby so he taught me all the workings of a camera with an old, manual Pentax 35mm SLR.  At the time I was more fascinated with the mechanics of the camera.  It wasn’t until I got into high school that I really started to value the art of photography and appreciate the work of different photographers and their styles. 

In my early twenties I attended a few weddings of some friends and brought my camera along. It was at that point that I decided to pursue a career in professional photography. I realized while shooting those weddings that I had really good timing and a knack for capturing people's expressions and working with natural light. Today I shoot mostly weddings, portraits and headshots.

I’m thirty four years old and I’ve been fortunate to be able to do some international wedding photography over the years and have shot weddings in India, Brazil and Japan. Some of those photos you’ll see on my website. Of course most of my work is local but I love to travel and welcome destination photography.

I’m a pretty easy going person and I find that helps the people that I’m working with to relax in front of the camera. I enjoy what I do and I look forward for the opportunity to work with you and capture you at your best. Please contact me to schedule an appointment.
